Day 12 begins at the Gateway Arch in St. Louis, and of course we are going to head to the top to enjoy the view.

St. Louis is known for its donuts, so of course we had to try some of them out.
The verdict is in, and the donuts are good, thumbs up, and fat dogging it.
Next we went across the Mississippi River to Alton, IL and of course more food at
Good grub and even better prices. I think we bought at least 1 of everything to share, because of course we had to try it all.

Back to St. Louis to check out the grounds of the 1904 Worlds Fair.
The Palace of the Fine Arts from the 1904 Worlds Fair now houses the St. Louis Art Museum. We did not get a chance to head inside, but the outside and surrounding grounds were very nice.
I bet you all did not know I helped Louis and Clark as they explored the west. I spelled my name a little different back then, but it was quiet an adventure. They were nice enough to set up a memorial in my honor along the Missouri River.

After all of this exploring of course we are hungry and we have to stop for some more delightful food in Hermann, MO, mmmm custard.

This was my favorte day of the road trip. i.love.missouri.so.much. Those donuts were great. And, I did go in the art museum. I had to use the bathroom. And I got lost so I got to look at some cool art. I also may have wandered around an extra minute or two. Anyway, Fast Eddies was great and I love cheap good food. Pie Town was sad because they didn't have the Almond Cream like on Feasting on Asphalt. Sigh. Also, remember that random animal we saw right down the road from Fast Eddies? And it wasn't a nutra but I thought it was? Good times.
